Easter '10

Yes, I know Easter was several weeks ago.....a little behind. The truth is....well besides being a little lazy, is I was waiting to get some pictures from my photographer (aka...my mom) to complete this post!
We had a great Easter holiday, very relaxing with a lot of family!

The week before Easter Mackenzie and I got the privilege of having a day to ourselves....my mom took Kate for the day, so we colored eggs tie dye style! She had been looking forward to coloring eggs since last Easter!!!

We had a great time together and got some good lookin eggs too! Of course we had to use some right away for Egg Salad!

Then the girls got to color eggs again at Grandma's....I think this was Kate's first experience at it and from the stories she didn't quite get it. She kept telling me that she took them out.....meaning she would place the egg in the dye and then promptly take it right out!

On Saturday we went to my Uncle Ken and Aunt Lori's for my dad's side of the family get together! It is always so much fun to see everyone again....it's sad we always have to wait for a holiday to come around!

The cousins have so much fun.....actually second cousins, but all the same! We hear they look a lot alike.

Some of the girls hunting for their eggs....a tradition we always enjoyed as little kids and now get to watch our children enjoy!


Kate was napping during the big hunt, so we hid some eggs for her after she woke up.....now that's the way to do it, right Kate....no one running you over to get to the eggs!!!

On Easter we spent the day at my parents.

The traditional Easter pictures! I love it when I can still get them matching outfits....which will soon come to an end with Mackenzie growing into the " girls" clothing!

They had fun finding their baskets and it didn't take them very long! Mackenzie said she wanted her's hidden hard!
